It’s
a time of restlessness throughout the Galaxy, The Jedi
flourish across the Galaxy like never before. The age old
practice of the Sith are but a mere memory, and a horrific
nightmare to those who lived to tell the story. The Republic
has ordered the a small group of Jedi be sent to the new
found planet of Craytitan deep in the Outer Rim Territories,
to study the environment and to prepare for colonization.
The highest ranking Jedi in the group is a young man very
powerful in the Force his name is Ja’Katta, he is
accompanied by the ever so beautiful Carmin Tapers, whose
family were all powerful Jedi killed in the Sith War, an
Alderaanian monk named Bezzil, who is very skilled in Jedi
Battle Meditation, and completing the group is a small
easily angered Twi’Lek name Boniddle who while very
powerful in the force relies more on his physical strength
then that of the force.
The group scouted the terrain of the planet studying the
life that inhabited it. At one point the group became separated,
Ja’Katta
stumbled upon an old hermit living in a small hut craved into a mountainside.
The gruff man explained to Ja’Katta that in his possession
he had a book of all books, a book that would forever change his
life. No more would he have to do as others said but have them do
as he said. The old man held out a huge book, cobwebs hung from it
like decorations and only made it look more demonic. The offer was
questionable and Ja’Katta left him his mind full of questions.
After finding his friends they began the preparation for the colony,
the vision of the book and the power held within it lingered tempting
him peaking his curiosity. Early the next morning before anyone else
had waken up he secretly went back to the strange hermit to learn
more about the mysterious book, once again he left the hermit questioning
which to take. He returned to their camp site, his friends already
awake and working, as the day progressed the work continued as normal,
Carmin was the first to notice Ja’Katta’s distance and
how much he was preoccupied by something other then the work at hand. |
